Uhm, my guess is that real horse hair is probably what the bow fixer man uses when he sells it as such. I'm not sure that cutting your mare's tail would personally enhance that relationship. Maybe have the horse groomer do this for you. I've heard it's dangerous to mess around that end of a horse without a goalie mask and pads. If the bow fixer man didn't sell horse hair or was in another country or state, maybe this would be a good idea. It's good to have a horse handy anyway, for those bad-bow-hair-days.
