Baroque bow

I did buy a bow at the auction I mentioned in an earlier thread, mainly as it felt well balanced and was very cheap, and I'm curious as to what I've got.
I think its a baroque style bow, from looking at photos of bows on the contrabass shoppe website, but has a french style frog. Do baroque bows normally have german style frogs? It weighs a lot more than the french bow I already have, and sounds much louder and richer but the weight makes it very hard to play quick passages with.
has anyone got any ideas how i could find out more about it?
All the auction catalogue said was 'old double bass bow'.

Baroque bows for bass were not really standardised. The bow shown is a Dragonetti type bow form the early classical period and previous to this the bows were held like a viola da gamba's.
