hey guys,

I know that most colleges supply the student with a bass, but do they supply a bow?

I've never really heard of a college supplying a student with a bass never mind a bow...where are you applying? I know in Eastern Europe that tradition is slightly more common, especially also in South America, but it's news to my ears that this occurs in North America...If you can find a University/Conservatory that supplies you with a good bass then that's a real plus! If you're looking for a GOOD bow and can't afford more than 1,800.00, I would strongly recommend Z. Prochownik...his bows are really great, some of them are a tad too light but they're very articulate and are a steal for the money IMO.

+1

In the sub 2k range, I think they're your best bet.
