Cool Buying Bow First?

Hey, I have playing bass for a while on a school bass. The school bass I use is a very nice 1920s Juzek but the bow is terrible. Would It be a smart move if i were to buy my own bow to play with but not buy a bass. Why or Why not? Thanks for the feedback!

If you're going to continue playing bass then there is no reason not to buy your own bow first, especially is you have a good loaner to use while you save for an instrument of your own. A good bow will travel with you no matter which bass you use.
