No problem, it is really unbelievable. My hair is cleaner now then when I got it rehaired. It takes a while to work the right amount of rosin back into the hair, but I had to much rosin caked onto my strings and it was affecting my bows performance.

Yitamusic Top Model Carbon Fiber Double Bass

Hi Guys,
I just received the Yitamusic Top Model A Carbon Fiber Double Bass last Friday & have been mucking around with it. So here is my preliminary review.
1. Item shipped within 5 working days - not bad.
2. Packing - pretty good, bow was enclosed in a plastic wrap, wrapped again with 1mm thick styrofoam mat & placed in a cylindrical PCB tube, 3 inch diameter with a wall thickness of about 2mm. Pretty sturdy packing.

Playing,
1. Managed to get some rosin on the bow & have been playing. So far, hair looks nice & even but I still prefer my older bow that has black hair instead of white. Perhaps, I haven't seasoned the new bow enough yet.
2. I like the balance of the bow but I don't quite like the the frog. I usually play "in the frog" with my old bow & am having a little difficulty playing in the frog with the new one as my thumb seems a little too big. Maybe I'm not quite used to the bow just yet. Would have been nice if the frog was a little bigger.

I'll be posting another review in 1 or 2 weeks time once I get used to this bow & season the hair on it. If the hair is still crap, then, I may have to get it rehaired.

I just did a quick google search and found this great bow. I've never heard of the maker (hoyt) but it sure looks nice! Says it has 318 fps (I assume they mean forte-pianos). I doubt I would ever play that many in real life!

looks a bit "tip heavy" to me.
