CF bow cases make sense, yes, but I guess that most will see it as overkill and an unnecessary expenditure that doesn't relate directly to playing the instrument.
If I had infinite resources, I could also have gold purfling installed.
A standard plywood bow case is more than adequate, even for a $100,000 bow it will do the job as long as you don't drop it off a building or put it in a bailer. Plus, aramid / kevlar would actually be better for impact resistance / absorption.
Having technique is not only about using technique, but knowing how to apply technique to music. In this respect, monster chops are relative.
