Which cheap bow to go for?

There are a choice of three bows that I am looking at:-
1, "High quality double bass bow by Archer. An extremely well-specified, reliable French style bow .. octagonal pernambuco bow with horsehare, ebony adjuster with two nickel bands, nickel silver lapping with leather thumbpiece, fully mounted and lined round heel ebony frog with abalone slide and abalone Paris eye, and bone tip." £50
2, "double bass bow. Good quality, reliable bow suitable as a replacement bow, round stick pernambuco bow with horsehair, ebony adjuster with two nickel bands, nickel silver lapping with leather thumbpiece, half mounted and lined round heel ebony frog with ABS slide and ABS eye, ABS tip" £30
3, "Primavera bass bow. Hardwood stick with dark rosewood frog with pearl eye. Copper-nickel lapping." £31

Unfortunately, I do not have the opportunity to see any of them as they are all available for sale on line. My old bow would need rehairing and these seem to be much better value than rehairing, I do not know the make I have only that it was what was bought with the bass when I was at school over 20 years ago. The only thing is the bow I have is octagonal, and bow 2 is definitely round and bow 3 normally is round. Will I notice a difference, I am trying to get back into playing for fun so not at a high standard (about grade 4)?

Which would you recommend?

All of them could have pro's and con's. Until you play them you really won't know for sure. I would probably lean towards the octagon pernambuco if that is what you are used to. Keep in mind as well that if they are for sale on-line they may be used somewhat and may need rehairing anyway. So if you are happy with your bow and these aren't really significant upgrades, it might make more since to just do the rehair to your old bow.

A good re-hair and a some re-cambering (if necessary) can do wonders for a bow, so maybe shop around for a well-known re-hair guy with a good reputation. Like SplitNick said, if you're happy with your bow, stick with it.
