Claude Marchand?

Hi,
I'm currently looking for a new bow, I'm a german bow player. I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about Claude Marchand? I will be trying out one of his bows soon. I was told that he is/was(?) french, and that he makes really good german bows. Does anyone know anything, or have any other opinions about his bows?
Thanks
Louisa

Hey, I'm at the Eastman school... I think I saw you in our studio class. I actually bought the Marchand bow you're talking about a year ago (I was sent two and bought one of them). I think you did buy the other one, right? How do you like it?

Hi,
I actually like it a lot, it's easy to play and works well with my bass. And I know more about the bow: made by Tom Martin, Brazil wood, so that is useful.
Although, I'm not sure if the one I bought is the one you tried out, he said it was made in 07-08, but I'm not sure.
Oh, you go to Eastman? I'm sorry I don't know which one of Mr. V's students you are! I don't know a lot of his students. Are you an undergrad student?

Yeah, I'm an undergrad student (freshman). I'll be playing at his studio class on Monday, so if you go I'll let you see my bow and stuff!
