Cracked bow performance

I'm curious as to what extent a repaired clean break at the tip would affect the performance of a bow. I know that feel is king, and if it feels good, there's no need to worry about repairs and such. But would a Sartory, for example, play even half as well if it had a professionaly repaired crack?

It might break again, It's kind of a maintenance issue. Like having an old cracked up bass.

A bow NEVER plays the same after a repair, that's why a case for it is an obligation. If, however, the repair is minor, the bow should play almost the same as it did. If it's a pretty good break, buy a new bow...even if you just broke a Sartory.
