Unhappy Hair sticking to Bow Case?

Hi there, I have one of those standard style French bow cases that has the ruby red plush/velvety interior with a black outside, rosin pocket and shoulder strap, much like what you'd buy off of Lemur. It seems that my bow is always sticking to the interior despite how much or how little rosin I use. All the hair now has this red lint that is just stuck all over the bow hair and whenever I open the case I have to pry the hair off of the interior of the case. I use Kolstein Soft Rosin, which isn't working well at all in this summer weather.

See the "gummed up hair" thread below. I had the same problem you are, in addition to my hair eventually becoming unplayable. I think it's just the weather we're having considering 3 of us (London, Waterloo and Toronto) all using Kolstein soft are having trouble.

I switched to Carlssons after cleaning my hair, but may need to put a bit of the soft on for grip before my concerts this week.

Burn it and buy a Harley!... Oh, wait, wrong forum, sorry, switch to Hard or Medium Oak rosin. I have one of those same cases and it is hot as (it gets) in Hotlanta right now. In the past I've used Pops and Carlsson and had no sticky hair issues with those either. Or if you like Kostein, try their meduim or hard grades. In this weather I'm using hard rosin for the first time. But the hard Oak is not nearly as hard as most hard rosins. It's actually useful.

I was already planning on placing my order for 1 each hard and medium Oak - thanks for affirming the decision
