Help!

I am looking to spend 1000 to upgrade from a 400 bow (Joseph Richter, brazil wood) to a Robert Dow (American Maker) Permabuco (spelling?) with a silver tip. The Dow bow is shorter than my bow and about 25 grams lighter. It has great response and great sound. Pulls even along the whole length of the bow.

Any info would help.
