Mine weighs 143 grams.

Personally I feel the weight of the bow influences the overall feel and response, eg I like a light bouncy bow. How much pressure you can apply is more down to you arm, it weighs far more than any bow does. Then your grip affects how much torque you can translate onto the strings as bow pressure.
......but wow Jordan, 106 gram ? What is it made of, and is it a fractional size? |

I inherited it from my father, except the stick was cracked. My luthier found a spare stick in his workshop, so he gave it to me. It's still the original frog. As far as I know it's a full-size bow.
I don't think I would mind a bow about 140g.

| | | | My Reid Hudson is 136g. I also have an awful (I suppose awful is relative) pernambuco bow by Klaus Becker that is 134g but much longer. While I think 106g is pretty extreme, I don't think there is anything wrong with a lighter bow. |

| | | | Mine's at 137g now. It'll probably me closer to 140g soon, I'm going to use weighted tape to play with the balance. We'll see. I wouldn't mind if it were a little heavier... |
