My stand partner is looking for a source for buying black bow hair. His friend is a newbie bass bow rehairer in Boston, and needs to buy black hair. Any sources or leads are appreciated.

The bow maker who taught me to rehair gets his hair from Pioneer Valley Luthier Supply, on your side of the country.

They have what they call Bassist's Black for $40-50 per pound, depending on length. Good quality stuff.
