There use to be a Chicago Bass Rosin made by luthier Scott Henrie.
As far as I know he hasn't make it for some time. If it is the same thing I would guess it's not so new...

I have a cake of what I believe to be the medium hardness that I got at Gage's. I'm pretty sure I saw some last time I was there.

Yeah, I think I saw it advertised somewhere too.

It's pretty sticky, which is good for someone like me, with less than perfect bow chops.
