"ophelia" bows--who sells?

I've been looking to upgrade my $90 snakewood bow--it needs a rehair and rehairing would probably be more than it's worth--and have been thinking about the carbon fiber bows. Since I have a Shen bass and have been quite happy with it on the whole I thought I'd try an "ophelia" bow.

Nobody seems to sell them! Has there been some kind of global crisis in carbon fiber?

The ones that I've seen are not the greatest. What's your budget for this purchase?

I would not want to go more than around $350. I'm not a good arco player and likely never will be, but rehairing the bow I have--which is fine--seems sort of silly. Maybe I'm wrong about that?

I'm looking at carbon for durability and ruggedness, basically.

I've seen good things about the Finale bow, here and elsewhere

What was wrong with the Ophelia bows? The fact that I can't seem to find any for sale is not promising

Tom Wolf used to sell the Ophelia CF bows. It was the lowest cost CF bow that he had. The next grade up that he sells are stamped Christopher.

I have a german Christopher bow that I got from him that I quite like and my teacher said it seems to be a good bow for the money.

Good luck in your bow hunt.

I remember something about the weight and balance not being to my liking. Our local Shen dealer has one. Maybe I'll stop by, try it out and report back.

PB+J: Are you looking for a French or German bow? I have a German Ophelia that I would sell.

It appears that she sells both the German and French model.

Send a message via AIM to ole Jason
The cheapest place to get them I've found is Nick Lloyd. He sells them for around $190 or so. Great bow.
