Pops rosin? how do you use it?

Ok so Im not a classical bassist and dont use the bow all the time but I do use it to practice my technique. I used to use a brand which I dont remember the name (something swedish), anyways it was easy to apply to the bow. I just bought pops a few weeks ago and as you might know it is within a paper container. I just want to know how you guys use it... do you take the paper container out? Also it gets annoyin because when I have it in my bass bag it gets all deformed.

When I used it, I just peeled enough of the paper down to get my bow on it. I'm not a fan of Pop's though. I use Carlsson now.
