FRET: After all this time, you still haven't filled out your profile. You could have described your bass and bow, and we'd have an idea about what you're dealing with. What kind of bow, and what kind of hair?

Honestly I can't see this being a good idea. I remember being very OCD about keeping the rosin dust off my strings and I would imagine that soft rosin would get stuck in the string grooves and make playing a nightmare.
