R.A. Meinel Bows

Does anybody know anything about these bows? I can't seem to find any info on them.

My friend recently bought one from Shar Music (I think the 3/4 model, pernambuco). It is a well balanced stick and it plays very well; it is also not cambered much and the stick is not especially stiff. And while it does not have the sweetest sound because it is pretty new, it is the loudest bow I have ever heard, bar none. It's probably just an individual bow phenomenon.

My teacher seems to like it very much as well. All I know is that I'm playing the Romance in Prokofiev's Lt. Kije Suite, and the conductor really wants me to play louder. Perhaps a temporary trade may be in order.

Hi,

I have a bow by this maker that I am selling. Let me know if you're interested.

My friend's bow looks a lot like your bow, except it has silver wrap. It's also a lot lighter, apparently weighing only 127 grams. It's a bit weird: on the one hand, it feels pretty light in hand, yet it feels like it has some weight when playing it. What did you think of your bow?

Also, I already have a bow that I love. I won't be needing another bow for a long time.

I like this bow. It plays very well and produces a nice, even sound on my bass. I haven't used it in a while because I bought a new one about a year ago that I really love. When I was using it, however, I did really enjoy its feel. The main problem I had with it was the weight in the frog and the length.

Good to hear. Having a bow you love is very important
