re-attaching rosin cloth

The cloth on my cake of rosin has come off, and im wondering if there's any way to re-attach it; such as holding it to a hot iron for a few seconds. Would that work?

Send a message via AIM to .matthew e wengerd.
I sure didn't read his response as angry (as I am reading you read it), but as enthusiastic.

I've not used cloth-attached rosin, so I've never needed to re-attach the cloth.

thank you matthew, you´re right.

sorry, patrick, it was a little late here (2:30 AM), so my answer was a little too short.

Seems like a bad idea using the iron, you might get
gunk on it, and in turn your clothes. Just use a match
or lighter for a few seconds on the bottom of the cake.

... oh and dont go snorting the fumes

for some reason I have this vision of the cloth being synthetic and when you take heat to it, it would shrivel up like when you use a match to seal the ends of frayed shoelaces.
