Question Rosin allergy?

I have had a patch on my middle right finger for
a while which I just assumed was a developing callous.

I had a symphony rehearsal last night and even though
I was playing very little pizz, I noticed that patch suddenly
got very inflamed and sore again. Been thinking about
this and it now seems quite likely that this is a rosin
allergy.

Its possible that I didn't notice it before because I was
using Oak rosin, this summer I destroyed my cake of that
by accident and had fallen back to some other types I
had laying around.

How common is this problem, and what alternatives do
I have, yes I know about Clarity, and obviously I could
to back to using the Oak.

It may actually be a multiple symptom problem, like
partially building callous in pizz mode, but the allergy
coming in and wreaking havoc on the skin when I
play arco??

Any advise or experiences welcome,
