Shipping a Bow

What is the best way to ship a bow?

Do I loosen the tension on it?

Just wondering, 'cause at work I have to ship one and I really would hate to have anything bad happen to it.

Definately loosen the tension. If it's in a case, box it up. If not, I suggest wrapping it in bubble wrap and putting in a mailing tube, wrapping the mail tube in bubble wrap and putting that mailing tube in a mailing tube.

If it's a cheap bow, maybe one good mailing tube is plenty. They are a couple of bucks at Kinkos.

I use PVC plumbing tube of appropriate diameter: strong, cheap and re-usable.

I've done this too

Those architects' drawing tubes change sizes - for different bows! There's cheap models that work well for a bow, provided you put some serious bubble wrap inside. These tubes are reusable
