Some info on my bow's maker.....please

I have been hesitant about doing this, but I feel like I have done my due dilligence in trying to unsuccessfully ascertain info on my bow's maker. I have a German-style bow stamped with Hans Rics. I love the bow, but would really like to know about the maker and when and where, approximately, the bow "came to life".

Can anybody with one of those big, thick, expensive violin and bowmakers tomes assist?

Thanks

Tim -- I don't know the Hans Rics label myself, but Cincinnati Bass Cellars carries some of these bows. You might contact them, I imagine they could give you some information about the bow maker. They're at www.basscellar.com. Good luck.
