Soutwest Strings Pernambuco Bow!

hey. There was a bow i saw on soutwest strings.com that was $199. It was pernambuco by the way. Does anyone here have any experience with this bow or know anything AT ALL about this bow? Im in need of an upgrade. Could this be an upton $99 dollar version of a pernambuco bow?

I almost bought one of these. But then I decided it was
worth spending more for a bow I had heard and compared
first in a local shop...

Still, its only $50 over Bob's bows, if I was needing a cheap
second bow I would still consider these.

If you do decide to get one be sure and report back on it
for everyone's benefit

In that price range, 99.99% chance it is made in China. Chinese Bow makers make all grades depending on who and with what materials or what model they are making. Some models may be great abd some may not even if it is well made with good materials.

Only way to know is to have a pro orchestral Double Bassist play and evaluate the Bow from you. Bows from China range from under $100. to over $1,000. Some are better buys that others even if you spend more and some are good for holding up Tomatoe plants in your Garden.

About 80% of the worlds bows now come from China so make sure it's a good workable Bow regardless of what name they put on the stick.
