Thinking about selling this French Bow...please advise!

I've had this bow for about 10 years now and don't use it much anymore so I'm thinking of selling it. But before I put it up for sale I'd like to be sure of a couple of things:

1. I paid $400 for this bow and am hoping I can get at least that much for it. Reasonable?

2. It needs a rehair; current hair is stretched out a bit but still has some life left in it. Does this significantly affect the value?

Specs:

Playing length: 22" or 55.88 cm
Overall length: 27.75" or 70.48 cm
Bottom of frog to top of stick: 1.5" or 3.81 cm
length of tip: 1.25" or 3.17 cm
Length of frog: 2.5" or 6.35 cm

The stick is permabuco, frog is ebony, and fittings are silver. Wrap appears to be leather. It is stamped "GERMANY" on the bottom of the stick between the frog and the button. All in all it appears to be a good quality student bow. It is very well balanced, a little on the heavy side and draws a very nice sound from the bass.

Nobody? I guess I should mention that this post is not an ad. I'm simply looking for some answers and advice on selling this used bow. If I decide to sell, it will be locally.

It's really hard to offer an opinion about a non-pedigreed bow (or even a pedigreed bow) without playing it. The question is, how well does it play?

If it plays like a Lipkins, it's worth $4K to $6k. If it plays like a utility col legno bow, maybe it's worth $150.

I'm afraid that's why you're not getting any responses.

I agree with Pete G. It also looks like it needs some work done. A rehair will make a difference. It also has a broken head plate. That would need to be fixed. Also, the thumb grip/wrapping looks like it has fallen apart. These are all things that should be taken care of if you expect to get what you paid for it.
