What kind of Bow?

Is there anyway to tell what type of bows I have? When I bought my bass used, the guy included two bows. I doubt they are high end pieces. I'm just curious as to what I have.

Ususally theres a stamp on the stick right above the frog. For a cheaper generic bow, there probably won't be a stamp.

Not necessarily. A stamp isn't that hard to make, and the many so-called "Pfretzschners" (for only $50!) you see on eBay are testament to that fact.

For the OP: you can bring your bows to a luthier, preferably a bowmaker to get his/her opinions on it. You can also post pictures of them here so you can get opinions from forum members.
