Wilshire bow?

I just bought this bow (actually just the stick, no frog or hair) which I am pretty sure it is french. It is old, possibly 40s or earlier. Below the frog is a the mark XXVII, and on the standard stamp spot is the name WILSHIRE, it is practically worn off. It has a nice curve(almost identical to my W.E. Dorfler), and it is in good condition for its age. I can't seem to locate any makers of that name. Anyone else heard of these bows?
