Question active Pa + passive monitor

Sign in to disble this ad
i've recently hooked up with a band who play mainly pubs and clubs, when we play larger venues we tend to play quite loudly and i struggle to here the vocals, can anyone advise me as to if i can run a passive monitor off of our active pa speakers, or will i have to endure the extra cost and heavier weigh of an active monitor:bassist

Hi.

Without knowing any details about either gear, what You ask from us is impossible to know. Help us to help You.

For an otherwise fully active system I'd choose an active monitor in any case though.

Regards
Sam

Most (at least all the current ones I've seen) active monitors only power themselves, not an external cab, so you'll need a passive and a power amp, or an active one.
