Advice on Bass Speakers

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys and girls,
I am in need of some decent 15" bass speakers for a pair of enclosed sub bins that I've got (not vented).
I have a Behringer EP1500 amp dedicated to run the subs, and want something with some decent kick (not a dull muffled sound), and don't care about mid/high frequencies as I'm running a seperate pair of 2 ways, and running everything through a crossover with a dedicated sub channel.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

KJ :-)

What are the dimensions of your sub cabs?
What are you using for tops?
What amp are you using to drive the tops?

Hi.

Welcome to TalkBass KJMibus.

Download WinISD (from LinearTeam) or eqvivalent and experiment.

If I wanted to re-use old cabs for some reason or another, I'd personally port 'em though, the driver selection for non-ported bass/sub cabs is rather limited.

Regards
Sam
