Advice for the setup of bass effect pedals?

Hi I am brand new to the site but was pleased to find such a website. I have been playing bass for quite a few years but will admit I do lack technical no how. (Hopefully websites like this will help). Anyhow enough of the waffle lets get down to business.

I want to know what people out there would advise to help me with my setup for pedals. I have had a boss bass overdrive and chorus pedal for a while but recently I have went a bit mad and now have the following:

Behringer EQ
Boss Overdrive
Boss Octave
Behringer Synth
Boss Chorus

currently I have them set up in that order (bass going in to eq and chorus into the amp). Is this an agreeable setup? Or would anyone change the order? It going to take a bit of time to find the sounds I want (especially synth) but any advice would really be appreciated.

The Effects forum would be the best place for this, but I would go:

Octave
Synth
EQ
Overdrive
Chorus

Thanks for the reply bassman its much appreciated. I'll try that set up and see how it goes.

I would have put this thread (or at least looked) at the effect section but I didn't even notice there was one. Sometimes I can't see for looking.
