I just placed an order from Alienears.com for a set of their ASQ4 Quad Drivers. I'm definitely expecting some great things from them.

Here are the specs on these guys.

Sensitivity: 124db@1mw
Isolation: +26-30db
Input Connector: 1/8in. gold plug
Frequency Response: 10Hz to 16,000Hz
Impedance: 20 ohm
Drivers: Precision Balanced armature Drivers with Passive Crossover, 2 Ported Low End Drivers w/ special inline filter, I Mid & High Driver

I will keep you all updated as soon as I get them in.

$600 for the fixed chord, $650 for the detachables. Other quads are gonna run closed to a grand.

Never heard of them before...They look interesting though. I'm in the marked for some nice IEMs so let us all know how they turn out!

Wow. First of all, the fit on my ears is perfect. There is no space to get any ambient noise which is one of the things I was afraid of happening. The Low End response on these things is something I haven't experienced ever in any in ears I've used!! But at the same time its not at all overbearing, its a great blend of the all the frequencies!!

I've been listening to just some music in them and I can hear parts that I've never picked out before because of the clarity in these things.

Not to mention they look pretty sweet!!

Is there too much high end or mids with those? I've avoided upgrading from my Westone UM2 dual-drivers just b/c I don't really need the added "high end" range that say a guitarist or singer would need. I'd heard that from the triple-range drivers and hadn't even heard of quads before!

When I first went to in ears I thought, like you, that I wouldn't need the "high" from a triple driver. But once I got them the clarity along with the low end make it sound absolutely awesome.
