Alto Pro Audio gear?

Sign in to disble this ad
In the Guitar Center mailing that came to my house over the weekend, I noticed some inexpensive powered speakers from Alto Pro Audio -- a brand I'd not heard of or seen for sale through other online vendors (nor even via Guitar Center's site).

Is this a Guitar Center label?

Does anybody have experience with their stuff?

They've been around a while... not a GC brand. I haven't tried their stuff though.

Seem to be popular over here in Europe. I'm not familiar with them. I know TB member disssa is using one of their power amps.

I have seen a few of there items here and there, it seems like a decent product for the money.
A local dealer here has a few EQ's and a poweramp, pricing on them is nice, seems like a better alternative to some of the other budget lines that are out there.

It's very cheap , low budget , made in China stuff.
That or Behringer ?
Throw a quarter up and choose.

You get what you pay for.

I don't get this Made in China bit that some of you continue to rant about. Got an iPhone, Made In China - designed in the US. Same with Alto and many other companies.

Alto is distributed in North America by Yorkville. It's budget gear, but the power amps that I've used in other people's rigs have been on PAR with other budget gear. You get what you pay for applies, so don't expect QSC quality for half price... That being said if I needed inexpensive gear I would choose it over the B company.

Alto Pro was an Italian company that was recently bought by Numark industries, so it is a sister company to Numark, Alesis and Akai. They just launched the line in Guitar Center, and the products are new. They are amazing for the price. Compare them to the Behringer and Mackie speakers in the price range and there is no competition, the Alto Pro speakers blow them out of the water. I highly recommend them
