Ampeg Cabs Daisy Chained...How to..?

I am running a GK 700 RB II and have an Ampeg 610HLF and a 810E (Both cabs are 4Ohms). I want to run both cabs when I play and need to understand the best way to connect them and so far have received conflicting info from friends and the manuals are difficult to determine from. Several have said I need to rewire the cabinets (which I do not want to do).

Can I simply connect speakons out from each output on the head to each cabinet? or one speakon out from the head to the cabinet and daisy chain to the other cabinet?

Which is the preferred method that will not cause damage to the head.

they're both 4Ω cabs; you can't run two 4Ω cabs at the same time with that head, because that "creates" 2Ω, which that amp can't handle.

I was considering using my GK 1001RB II also and run the 700RB II for mid/low to the 610HLF and the 1001RB II for the highs on the 810E in essence running 2 amps. Just need to figure how to get the bass signal to both amps.

The newer 810e cab has two 8 ohm inputs, thus splitting the 810 cab into 2 sealed 410s.

If you're trying to bi-amp you could use the one 810e cab and send your lows to the bottom 410s and the highs to the top 410.

I admire the idea of two big cabs. I've got an 810e and would love to have two! 16 x 10 yeah baby! But alas I couldn't transport two of these beasties!

Unless you play very big rooms with lousy PAs, you don't need anywhere near that much rig.

also, biamping just means that one of those cabs will not be carrying any lows, and so would have even less purpose for being dragged out there.
