Any experience with the no-name budget IEM brands popping up everythere?

My trusty old Sennheiser IEM unit is finally started playing up. It's old, really old, so no complaints.

Only trouble is a new replacement is out of my budget, as are the offerings from Shure. A quick search of eBay shows some much cheaper brands whose specs seem to stack up, but having never heard of any of them I was wondering if any of you have actually tried them?

Some of the brands include Karsect, Pasgao, MKD, JTS, Ashton, DB Technologies. Please feel free to add any others which you have tried.

In case you want any more information, here's the link to my eBay search results:-

We may not be seeing them in the states...

There is a wide range (700) that is now illegal to use.. you may be able to find some great deals from obsolete gear here.

That's great advice. Thanks.

I've had a quick look and there seem to be some USA sellers who specify they will only sell outside the USA for this reason. I'll look into it some more.

I'm waiting on my Shure PSM200 system to get here. I got it for $325 shipped on evilbay. I also won some Ultimate Ears Triple Fi earbuds for $160 shipped.

That's a good long-term investment, one I wouldn't skimp on. i'd just keep my eyes peeled for used or discontinued deals. I know they're high (main reason I'm holding off on a new set right now) but I want to know they'll last and not have to be replaced in a year or few months with sketchy warranties/support, etc..

Thanks for all that input guys. I just won a Shure PSM400 from a seller in the USA who would only sell outside the USA because of the 700 ban. Don't you just love a win-win situation.
