Anyone use Rotosound Pro Quality Instrument Cables / Leads ?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am thinking about trying out some Rotosound Pro Quality Instrument Leads (Cables) (model# RMP4), but have some reservations since I can not find any specs (even on their site)....

I've emailed them and am waiting for a reply, but also wanted to see if anyone on TB has any "real world" experience with these....

What kind of “specs” are you looking for with an instrument cable? That said, don’t think I’d put much stock in it, just judging from the selling price.

Materials, wire gauge, shielding, resistance.... you know, "the usual" ....

I want to know how they stack up against some others.

Well, I bought 2 sets of the Rotosound Pro Quality leads (20 feet each) since they were less than $9 on Amazon, and I thought I'd post my findings for others.

I must say that I am impressed! Good thickness, strong reinforced jacket covering, flexible cord, good quality jacks, and great clean sound with no hum/buzz even when it laid across 2 extension cords

The Rotosound customer support agent I emailed was totally useless... they have no specs available to them, but he assured me that their products are all "tested for good quality"--whatever that means. And as I mentioned, nothing on their website, either.

Although I can not endorse the knowledge base of their customer service agents, nor the poor marketing and description of this cord, nonetheless, this instrument cable is of above average quality and construction.

A great sound at a fantastic price!

As the OP, I'm deleting my subscription to this thread.... feel free to continue any discussion you might have!

What are you looking for in those "specs"?
