Sign in to disble this ad
Hey were a new band starting out and I'm a bass player and was wondering what would be the best cab and head to get at a low price ? I have been looking and I found BEHRINGER BX4500H - Thomann UK Cyberstore and that seams pretty good ?

I've used that head before, it's ok but not great. Personally, I'd save up a bit more and look at getting one of the cheaper ashdown amps. Either that or buy used; there's some great, cheap stuff out there on the second-hand market.

If you just want something loud that'll never die, look at getting some 80s Peavey gear.

You should probably post this in Amps, not Live Sound.

Also, almost everyone is probably going to say that you should simply go to your nearest guitar shop and try every bass head/cab there and pick the one you like best.

You don't need to create several threads in the same (wrong) forum on the same topic. Move over to amps, and ask there.

Behringer isn't great, but it's cheap. A lot of people say you get what you pay for. With Behringer, you might not even get that. I'd prefer just about any used name-brand piece of gear to anything from Behringer, personally.
