I bought these after testing out Harbingers (Terrible in every way), Mackie Thump 15s (Pretty damn good). I never had a chance to compare vs the b215d but I'm using mine solely as monitors !!
I wouldn't buy these as mains for a band, I think the 15s are a must in the Behringer line as mains. Just need a little more oomph & bottom as 12s to be considered mains but overall really loud & good quality for the money. I wouldn't use them as PA mains to exceed a drummer but otherwise you may get away with em. BTW: Very easy to move, light. You can haul 2 in at the same time with ease.
The pair were around $400 & it saves me from buying a poweramp too so thats a bonus. I personally get my gear from Sweetwater as they include a 2 year warranty & for stuff like Behringer, maybe that will come in handy. PM me any time & I'll get you a contact to sweetwater so you NEVER have to pay the listed price for any gear there. I don't work for em, just like their service & pricing
I'll hopefully have the singers thoughts & then a live gig report with these as monitors soon. Overall right now after extensive research of all the gear on the market & a tight budget I'm happy with they way they sound but its all about the live situation, feedback, accuracy vs the mains etc

Keep us informed how they work out.
Sweetwater is an excellent place to buy (when I can't buy locally). Sweetwater always takes care of you. They know their products, And they extend the warranty.

Did a A\B test vs my 15" Turbosound mains
Surprisingly the Behringer sounded great next to em... maybe even a tad better. Power at the b212ds was with the gain at noon & fed a nice clean signal through the board through an iphone. The 212 got the Main out on the board & the Turbos went out the control room output. The 212s sounded a little deeper, warmer... the upper registers of both were very accurate & crisp.
Pretty damn happy with the purchase after that quick A\B test. Try em out at GC, you may be surprised. I still think the volume is optimal at a level that is below a drummer so I wouldn't use em as mains, as monitors they should suffice. That test is yet to come.
So far so good though.

Band loved em! I have the whole system wired wrong so the monitors were out the mains & we had the volume on 1 & it was VERY loud. Good sound.
Can't wait to have a full PA test & setup in a few weeks then a gig report.

I love my PA and after a month I still think I made the correct decision. They are truly a 180 degree speaker on the horizontal. I paid about 525 with stands and cables at the 123dj site and paired them with a Allen Heath ZED-14 mixer. I am also thinking about getting a few of their microphone stand monitors (205d). I never thought I would by any Behringer gear..go figure. |

I'm taking a hard look at a Behringer powered mixing board vs the Peavey 1220 for quite a bit more cash. I'm hoping to win the PA give away from Sweet Water before I bust any moves on more PA gear! Ha! |

Between the band (newly-formed, probably won’t be gigging for two/three months.) and my music room, I may reconfigure what speakers I have now and might end up needed a couple more stage monitors.
I might even consider one of the 15” powered Behringer for a drum monitor.
I fully intend on disciplined stage volume… not necessarily “quiet”, but definitely not stoopid-loud, and I don’t see the sense in spending more than I need to.
Btw, what turbosound mains do you have?

Sound good, work fine (so far). The one thing to remember about Behringer is that although they price low, the stuff usually works OK ... but if it craps out ... you throw it away and buy another one. The customer service (in and out of warranty) is notoriously bad.

Turbo sound mains are 15 " passives, not current models but they are great.
Btw: seismic audio cables and snakes are fantastic and really cheap!
I'm not getting behringer eq and crossovers reviews of failure were too common. I'm going DBx there,
I have a behringer board. 2442fx, it's great, 150 used.
Bars aren't paying crap, u can't go high end everywhere but u can't go cheap in the wrong places either

B212Ds made great monitors. Loved em, really loud. Do color the tone greatly so you have to cut the lows I felt.
Plenty good as monitors for sure. Mains? I'd move up to the 215d for a band situation but for a small pub not having to keep up with a rock drummer, 212s would be fine
My used 2442fx monitor is losing channels. It looked abused when I bought it used so I can't really knock Behringer for it. We also had some extensive voltage issues at both the practice area & the gig.
I have a few older Berhinger mixers I bought new that are still kicking. Power amp as well. I did have an old EP2500 power amp that channel 2 wouldn't shut off sometimes but that went away & I sold it.
I haven't had bad luck with Behringer & for the price these monitors are pretty good. I don't use them extensively but I will post if they go to hell.
