Best source for shorter XDS95 transmitter cable

Sign in to disble this ad
I'd like a 24" transmitter cable with a right angle 1/4" and the straight locking 1/8". Any suggestions? I saw reference to bayou cables and found a cable there for $40. This seems a little steep to me.

Good custom cables aren't cheap. The line 6 upgraded cable is first class. It's about 24" long, isn't it? It's worth the money.

But, do I really need a custom cable? I was hoping something like this was standard.

You'd think a decent cable would come in the box. Before I bought the upgraded cable, I un-soldered a good quality GH right angle cable plug from another cable, and replaced the factory plug. This made for a much better feeling cable. That way, you could cut the length down to just what you prefer.

But seriously, the factory premium cable is killer. Canare cable, neutrik plugs, real nice stuff.

$26.95 from Lava Cable. I ordered one from them with Canare cable and a right angle 1/4 plug. Great quality.

Lava Cable - Wireless

Dan
Has anyone seen anything better than this or is it still the best deal for replacements? I've got an XDS95 that I can't find my cable for.

Exalt Bass (TBEr) will make you a killer cable exactly as you want it.

Unfortunately Ends are not cheap... he can save a bit by not using the 1/8 military connectors.

Do you remember what they run? Bummer having three wireless units, but only two of them usable at present due to missing cable.

LINE 6 RAckmount screws

I need the screws, or the specs on the screws, that hold the rackmount tabs to the wireless unit on a Line 6 xdr95 receiver.

Im not looking for the rackmount screws to holde the unit in the case, just the little screws that hold the rack tabs on the receiver.

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You can still buy the original type cables from line6 for $15, with the straight 1/4 end, and change that out for a RA 1/4"...

Bayou Audio Cables
Butch is still out there, but apparently (according to his website) had to take a 'day job' due to the economy.

I should have posted back sooner about the service from Exalt Bass.

He was busy, but hurried to get the plugs on order and made my cord 22", which leaves far less tangle in the back and the work is perfection. He also supplied me with a couple extra plugs for my other wireless cables and I swapped one in exchange for my old Switchcraft right angle the other night.

Anyone who is really picky about your gear, get one of these cables from Exalt Bass. When you combine the workmanship and price, this is the right mark. If all you want to do is shorten your existing cable and/or change to right angle, get the Neutrik - very easy to install and eminently reliable.
