Butter Bass?

Sign in to disble this ad
What bass would you recommend, under $2000. that plays like butter. I love the P/J tone, as it has the best of both worlds.
I was able to create the studio tone live, now for a bass that plays easily to relieve my tendinitis. Any suggestions?
Thx all.
Hawk

So, your thread is nothing about recreating studio tone live, huh?

Regarding the bass, haven't you just started a thread asking this same question in the correct forum?

The world abounds with good Fender Pj's. Stupid easy to setup and if you spend more than a grand, you're daft...

Really want studio tone live ? Want intonation too ? Spend some of that cash you might waste on an expensive reproduction. And blow it on an Avlon U5. Hi-cut on, filter engaged, your choice of positions 1 through 4, active to thru as you see fit. New strings...

Obviously you misunderstood. And so did 4Mal. I was able to creat that studio tone I wanted. Just looking for a bass that will play easily because of tendinitis. But thx anyway, geeze.

Why would you post your question in the forum about LIVE SOUND REINFORCEMENT & PA SYSTEMS.

No, YOU probably misunderstood my reply...

I was saying that you found a way to ask the same question you asked in "Basses", which is "Which bass plays like butter". This question doesn't belong in "Live Sound".

You have a bunch of answers over there already... Check them out...

It amazes me how many threads get started on this forum that have nothing to do with PA systems.

Since you have two threads going on this and I got a smart ass response when I tried to answer your question why don't you go ahead and define "plays like butter"? That's like me saying I want recommendations for a bass with "good tone".

I didn't give you any smart ass remark. You must be mistaken, or what I may have said was not meant for you.

On the contrary, I appreciate what you said on the other post, thank you.

Hawk,

My apologies. I misinterpreted/misread what you said in a previous post. Sorry about that.
