I've been looking at this Peavey mixing board. It doesn't specificy that it's powered, so I'm wondering if I need a power amp for it?
Here's the mixer: http://www.peavey.com/products/brows...9/PV®%2014.cfm
It says it's power requirements are: PV 14: 100-240 VAC 50/60 Hz 17 Watts

If you're not comfortable with a mixer with a separate power amp you may want to with a mixer with an on board power amp. |

I'm not planning on hooking this up to speakers, I'm going to hook it up to an audio interface and then play/record with my computer.
Edit: In retrospect I should have posted this in recording gear, since this isn't being used for live sound. Sorry about the confusion, when I think of mixing boards my mind thinks of live sound lol

If all you need is a line-level output to supply signal to the input of another recording device (e.g., your computer), the mixer supplies a line-level output without needing any further amplification. |

Plus, I could really use 10 mic inputs so that we can have a decent number of drum mics.
