can anybody tell me if it's possible to use a wireless system like the AKG WMS40PRO FLEXX SIMULTANEOUSLY for your instrument's signal as well as in ear monitoring if you've got two transmitters?

thanks

The Aviom system worked pretty well. It was easier to set-up than I had expected. No bass amp on stage, just my 78 P (with EMG PJ pickups), to my SansAmp BDDI, to the board. It helped that one of the P.A. subs was about 2 feet from where I was standing, so I really didn't miss a bass amp that much. I didn't have my own earpieces so I used one of their spares which wasn't as good as a custom-fitted job would have been (especially in carrying all the low end), but good enough. I didn't care much for being "tethered" to the Aviom mixer by the earpieces, though.

I only use in-ears at my church gig. Nobody has a stage rig but we do have side fills with 15's and a horn. I didn't want to the basskicker thing, and didn't like the Aviom in-ears and headphones, so I bought a set of Boze earbuds. It helps me with hearing better bass tone. Now I only put one bud in my left ear, and use my right ear for hearing ambient sound.

That said, I EQ my ear buds with slightly more treble and the ambient sound fills-out my need for hearing the bottom-boom, since the stage volume becomes low enough to where you can hear the bass out in the audience. You get the sense that the hall is one big bass cabinet. Kinda cool. However, you really got to have a good sound guy that know what he's doing. Now that's a novel concept!!!!!!!!
