 fender conversion?

Has any one converted a fender 2x12 to a 4x10 cab? I just picked up a vintage cab and was wondering if I can get a good sound out of it. I have a 4x10 now. The air volume is the same in both so i want to vent the fender aprox the same as the bass cab then drop my speakers in. Hoping to get a better look.(I know I'm a kook) I have a Musicman Head and the fact that the cab dose not match bugs me.
