Thanks for posting. I never knew who was behind the name. In the 70's I had Cerwin Vega stereo speakers, and an C-V/ Traynor 18" folded horn cab as my bass stage rig.
We also had a local music store build us some 'earthquake' subs for our PA based on the cabinets that toured with the movie. About 4 ft high, 4 ft deep and just wide enough to fit an 18" driver.

These were a double folded horn design, the driver faced forward in the cab and bounced back and then forward and out. Looooooooooong low waves! By tweaking the eq we could almost guarantee those girls sitting nearest the PA would be making a trip to the bathroom.
