Future Sonics is probably the best in the business with the most experience - enjoy!

I love them. I use custom ear molds. DAT BASS!

EDIT: Wait till you use them on a plane with your ipod. They are amazing.

Best cleanest most wonderful sounding monitors for a bass player! (okay I'm biased, but I love mine) Especially with Comply foamies.

BTW TigerDirect had a coupon on their Facebook, $99 Atrio's, I didn't see it, but my son sent me an email about it.

I've used these for a few years, but only for my portable music player. They work very well if you are stationary. I notice when walking around (especially on gravel and other uneven surfaces) that the noise transfers through my body to the head/buds, which requires turning up volume for clarity. That's a dangerous cycle, that one, but isn't the fault of the Atrios.

Have you used other buds before and have some comparison?

westone 1s, 2s and 3s
Ultimate Ears
and lastly M Audio

All the above were multi driver except the single Westone 1s

I noticed that to get what I wanted in my mix I did not have to have the volume on my aviom turned up anywere near what I used to. Futuresonics idea is the use of 1 efficient driver instead of multiple drivers in each ear.

That's some stiff competition.

I'm looking at a pair of these myself. Have to go IEM for a new band I'm joining but I want to stay under $200 on the investment if possible.

I see them priced new at $199 w/free shipping from an outlet on eBay... can I do better?

I just got the M2 IEM, the supplied earbuds (EP3) are useless for bass.

I tried my $30 Radius Atomic Bass earbuds, I use them on my mp3 player. Spectacular. The bass sounds like a bass, i was afraid they wouldn't have enough treble to function well for vocals, or couldn't get loud enough, or have enough isolation to work as IEMs. I was wrong, they sounded great. Pulling them out after the set, was surprised how loud the crowd noise was, they block more sound than my Hearos.

I'd spend more money on the transmitter/receiver and save the money on the earbuds. Worst case you only risk $30.

I unfortunately haven't tried any of the other popular IEMs to compare to the Atomic Bass.

I have had a set for over a year and they are one of the very best for bassists. Having a real mini speaker instead of an armature that others use is the ticket for natural bass. The room that the dual and/or triple drivers and crossover/s take up inside the tiny earbud is room that a larger single speaker could be using for a big sound.
