Genz-Benz 410XB info

I recently bought this cabinet used and the fuse in the crossover was blown. There's no markings on it; I took it to Radio Shack and they didn't have an idea either. I emailed tech support at Genz-Benz and got no response. I called there and they asked me for my phone number and said someone would call me back but that never happened either. Does anyone know what fuse it is ?

Really?

They didn't get back to you? That's really weird... anyway, you can PM Roger (Username: Hasbeen, GB Product Manager) or Andy (Username: Agedhorse, GB Engineer) here on Talkbass and bounce it off of one of them. You should get your info shortly thereafter. Those guys are absolutely fantastic about supporting the Genz Benz users in the Talkbass community - they really go above and beyond.

Usually we are really good at getting back. Maybe the sticky note got stuck to something it shouldn't have...

Well, it's not a fuse so that's why you can't find one like it. It's a lamp that has a specific IR curve that works with our tweeeters to protect them from overload. They type of bulb is matched to the specific tweeter.

Call the factory in the morning and ask for either Scott or Chris, they will get you taken care of.

Thank you very much Agedhorse. I spoke to Scott today and he was extremely helpful. He not only told me what bulb it was but the theory behind it, it's use and what it takes to make it blow. I will now be a lifetime user of Genz-Benz products as I am now looking for an amplifier. Along with the 410XB (8 ohm) I have a Peavey 1820. I'm going to run the 2 10s with the 410XB on 1 channel and the 18 alone on the other. If you have any recommendations I would really appreciate it.

Either of the GBE series would be suitable as they can drive 2 ohms. Same with the NeoPak, but may not be enough power for your needs?

Not sure where you are getting the 2 channel from, we don't make any 2 channel amps.

Sorry I didn't look into your line-up yet. I was planning on a preamp and poweramp setup. But if I can find something suitable in a bass head i'll look into it.
