I even use it for our rehearsals in a cramped basement just cuz I never know when I'm gonna want to move around. Plus, I just love toys. Batteries are never an issue for me as I use high-quality rechargeables and always have two spare sets plus a spare set of alkalines in my bag.

What I sincerely don't get are all those ultra positive comments on the Line 6 Relay line..... am I really the only one who noticed a huge loss in the lows compared to the cable???
I've had the chance to try lots of wireless systems, and while most of them would sound great on guitar, the only one I found "bass friendly" is the Sennheiser EW572 G3; sounds a bit different from the cable, but you don't loose the low end.
Line6 claims an extraordinary freq. response, but does not state at how many db..... -3? -6?

I do use cords for practice. If you don't think you need it or even want it then don't buy it. IMO the one person that should have a wireless should be the singer. Good luck, |

Less cords - less chance of tripping over them Sound, if anything, is enhanced. I think you'll find players that have used the newer units out there (whatever quality brand) will trend toward wireless in live situations. That said, I do use Mogami in rehearsal for ease (no effects) of operation. I'm with a few others, however: IF the singer-tard is so adamant about you using wireless - let him buy it

| | | | Don't bother with a wireless unless you have a need for one. I only use mine because I'm running sound from the stage.
I have one of the old Line6 models. It works great and doesn't change my sound, but I never trust the battery life. I had a battery I'd only used for 2 sets the previous night, die on the last song of the third set. It had been stored outside of the unit. |

my G50 sounds the same as a cable for both guitar and bass. it's a godsend for me because i both move around a lot and usually have to mix the band, too.

| | | | I always use a wireless. I hate cables. I hate wedges. I use in ear monitors too. Get a Sennhieser system and never look back. Wireless is the only way to go no matter what size stage you are on. I am all for any time you can get ride of a cable. Get a pedal board, put your wireless on it and your tuner pedal. That way all you have is one 1/4 in cable running on the floor and maybe the power chord, plus then everything is always ready to go and set up for you. I have an SKB pedal board and it has a lid and a power supply. If you dont want a wireless have your singer buy it for you. |

Which model? Your transmission issues worry me. I'm considering one of the Shure digitals, either the PGXD or, if I'm feeling flush with money, the ULXD. Thanks! |

But, I don't think think cleaning up the floor is a good reason by itself to get a wireless. Get a longer chord instead and use the tape mentioned above.
About the dancing with the crowd:
Don't do it unless the crowd's open to it, and watch for jealous boyfriends. I've gotten some mean looks from guys. Luckily, I'm 6'4" and pretty bulky. But, I had some guys leave after I danced with their girls. Other times, though, it really pumped up the crowd during dance songs. Get the girls dancing and flirting, and the vibe get much better
