Headphone help?????

Sign in to disble this ad
Ive been playing bass in the church band for about a year and recently I have been having the trouble of being able to hear myself without being too loud. Alot of the time when ive played over the last few months, ive always been to loud so I drown out the other instruments or too quiet so I have to turn myself up and then it dosent sound any good.
Recently ive ordered a Micromon MA400 Ultra-Compact Monitor Headphone Amplifier (I copied that name from the page) so it goes to my ears aswell, hopefully this will work and we can get the levels right.
I'm wondering if anyones got any surgestions for headphones to use?
Ideally I would like in ear headphones and I dont really want to go through 50 pairs of headphones a month from blowing cheap pairs.

You can't use headphones for bass. The waves take too long to develop!

Have you tried tilting your cab? i.e. raising its front edge. Getting your ears closer to on-axis may make a sufficient difference.

Yes ive tried tilting it and it dosent really help much. I know you can send bass through headphones, I have heard it before. Ive ordered the box thing above and im hopeing that will work but untill we can get a mixer for me, that probly the best we can do.
