Just wanted to see if anyone else has a unique sound, and if so how you achieve it. The crazier the better

My signal...here it goes

Treble flat.
mids boosted +3 and 170hz
bass +1at 60hz. ...high pass at 40hz.

Preamp gain set at +14 ,boost at 220hz, cut at 6-10khz
Slight bass roll off 80-40hz. And a healthy, narrow boost at 4k
Into boss ls2 splitter. Channel A sent int dbx 166a
Channel 1 set for squashed sound
Channel 2 set as a limiter/distressor.
Next I send my compressed and clean signal back into my spiltter.
And then sent into a gk 1001rb ii

Gain at 11 o'clock
Press
ence dimed
Treble at 8
Highmids dimed
Low mids at 3:30
Bass at 1
Boost dimed.

Warwick Corvette $$ 5 single coil mode, blended 50/50.
Treble boosted slightly depending on string freshness.
Mesa Buster, set pretty much flat across the board.

That's all it takes!

I use a pretty much flat sound with really small cuts on middle and treble and exciting on bass. Before that just a good compressor and the bass & finger sound :-)
Cheers. Enrico

P 'treble' p/up into Behringer eq (boss clone) to reduce low end, into one side of TC Nova Dynamics (fast attack, low threshold and ratio), into TC Nova Drive with 3 presets controlled via G-switch out front:
Preset 1, overdrive only for subtle tube like grind, with clean blend around 12:00.
Preset 2, as above with distortion channel engaged in parallel mode for smooth guitar like distortion - gain around 12:00 and bass eq rolled off.
Preset 3 - dist in series into OD for a more fuzz like tone.
Output into channel A of Boss LS2

Neck 'woofer' p/up into other side of TC Nova dynamics (med-high threshold and ratio, slow attack). Then into channel B of Boss LS2.

Combine both signals via LS2 into tuner then into MarkBass LMII (VLE and VPF around 9:00 to 10:00 to reduce boxiness and smoother top end. EQ more or less flat with slight bass lift but tweak for room. Into Markbass Traveller 121H cab.

Pedalboard lives at back of stage by amp and I run G-switch out to front by my mic stand as the Nova Drive is the only pedal that ever gets turned on/off. I do sometimes bypass the Nova Drive for a bassier/fuller tone for certain disco/dance songs where my regular slightly driven tone doesn't fit.

I will be adding another graphic or parametric eq to the woofer signal as there have been times that it has sounded muddy and I've only been able to compensate for this on the amps eq (which has a huge gap between bass and low mids) via turning down all eq knobs to create an artificial bump between the frequencies which isn't ideal. Ideally I want to keep the amp's eq as flat as possible so I only need to tweak for the room.

PS, all my other basses only have one output, so if I need to use a spare with this setup I either go straight through my 'woofer' channel and do without OD or use a splitter cable to simulate two outputs. Even though it's the same signal going through each channel, the eq, compression and OD alter them enough to get a similar effect.

12 String Dean Rhapsody with Audere Pre set in Low Z Mode with stereo out that runs to a custom made SFX Red Dragon Pre that has tone, gain and volume for each pickup before mixing the stereo signal and sending it to my amp and/or to other effects. I also often run certain effects on just one pickup, like say delay on the bridge or octave down on the neck.

Unique or not, I'll just plug in and play.
No effects usually no eq either.
