using an active PA (15") speaker to power my bass....

i have a half stack right now and im looking for more power, i have a couple of couple if different ideas, let me know what you think:

one. just getting another cab.
two. using a power amp with my sansamp and using the cab i have now (8ohms)
three. read over the first line, lol.

not sure if that active PA speaker would have the range you would need to sound good .. I owuld presonally just buy a new cab

im really leaning towards my second one......and adding a 15cab.
