| iPod Touch - High Pitched Squeal on Pandora Aux IN

Not sure if this is the right place but here goes. I practice songs through a Korg Pandora PX4D using an iPod into the aux input as the music source. I had a Nano previously and they mated with no issues. But tonight I plugged in a 4th Generation iPod Touch and am getting a consistent high frequency pitch through the headphones. No such sound with ear buds or headphones plugged directly into the Touch, just through the Korg unit. It's annoying and bothersome because that last unit worked flawlessly in this situation but the newer, higher tech Touch not so much it seems.
The two biggest concerns right now are 1) is there anything wrong with the unit and 2) if there's some odd impedance issue could I damage the Touch?
Anyone have any similar experiences or issues when using a connection other than headphones, i.e. into an aux or board channel? Any thoughts on what might be going on and why the Nano was fine and the Touch is not?
