| KORG KP3 with Bass Rig, Live?

Wondering if anyone has had experience using a KORG KAOSS Pad (KP3) live, through your bass rig. I am completely new to samplers, loops, etc so I'm not too sure how I should hook it up. I would like it to be separate from my other pedals, which are all running inline. Maybe a separate effects loop? A Di? Should I plug straight in with an XLR to 1/4"?
